Taiwan Sky Lantern Festival

This personal project was created from a collection of fun shots taken over the weekend during a business trip to Taiwan. All footage was shot on a Canon 5D mark II with a 50mm f/1.4 lens, and represents my first attempt at DSLR filmmaking. Special thanks to my good friends in Taiwan for taking me to the Sky Lantern Festival.

This animation was created for the launch of the HTC TouchPro 2. The project involved 3D animation of device models and compositing custom screens and type messaging calling out specific product features. The individual vortex sequences were also used as dynamic transitions embedded into the product keynote presentation.

HTC — Touch Diamond Launch Video

This animation was create as part of the keynote presentation of the HTC Touch Diamond product launch. The motion design featured a mysterious introduction inspired by the faceted industrial design of the product, and was finally revealed in a blaze of paparazzi flashes. The 3D animation was design so that each of the product key user interface sections was highlighted in succession, before resolving to slow revolving loop.

HTC — Touch Diamond — Interface Design

This project involved the creation of a unique, 3D touch-based interface for the HTC Touch Diamond. The motion design centered around the idea of tactile interactions with 'real world' physical objects — flipping thru music CDs, shuffling thru pages of a letter, flipping thru a rolodex of contacts. The project also featured more 'fun' animations designed solely to provide 'moments of delight', such as rain drops spattering on the inside of the device screen.

HTC — Touch Diamond Overview

This animation was created for the Touch Diamond product launch, and was displayed in HD as part of an environmental installation. The motion was designed as an 'ambient overview' that showcased the device's industrial design as well as the interface.

Cisco — Animated Logo — ESPN Mobile

This series of logo animations were created as part of a co-branded campaign with ESPN Mobile. Each logo animation featured a sport-specific design element — Baseball, Football, Basketball and Hockey. These animations were specifically design for over-the-air playback on mobile devices.
